Act I: without kids | Act II: with kids | Act III: Without kids
After nearly 25 years together, we find ourselves approaching a new phase of our lives. This time next year, our oldest child will be in his freshman year at Howard University, and our youngest will have just one year of high school left. We are beyond proud of our children, but we also realize that we need to start thinking about what's next for us as a couple. It's exciting, and also a bit daunting.
We've spent so much of Act II focused on our children and their well-being that it's hard to imagine what life will be like without them at home. But we're determined to make the most of this new chapter in our lives, committed to finding a shared vision that will allow us to continue to grow in love and thrive, together.
We've always been a strong team, and after 25 years together, we know each other inside and out. But there's always more to discover and explore. We're determined to make the next chapter as interesting as fulfilling as possible.
Once upon a time…
Act I

Christopher
Chis, a rare gem, is low-key and unassuming. After returning from working and traveling in Asia, he moved from Chicago to Washington, DC, in 1994. He has a quiet confidence that comes from a deep well of self-awareness and insight. Despite his unassuming nature, his personality is magnetic, drawing you in with his warmth and sincerity. He's a true treasure of depth and substance, with a remarkable personality that has made him one of the best decisions Beverlié has ever made.
-

Beverlié
(pronounced Beverlah) has an infectious laugh, an odd sense of humor, and a unique view of life, just like her name. The laid-back lifestyle and diversity of California shaped her view of the world, making her ‘refreshingly unique.’ Her laughter is like music; her smile is like sunshine; and her love is like a warm embrace.
A love story…
Act II | 1997 -
Act I
A chance encounter on New Year's Eve 1997 in Virginia would forever alter our lives. We started dating in November of that year and had no idea that our love would take us on the journey of a lifetime—around the world, through countless adventures, and eventually moving in together.
After seven years of dating, traveling, and building a life together, while vacationing in Costa Rica, we decided to skip the wedding, get pregnant, and buy a house.
Act II
In May 2005, we bought a house, and in July 2005, with the birth of Solomon, we began our family. In November 2007, we welcomed Noam and spent the next decade and a half living life as a family. We continued to travel and explore new places while also cherishing the simple moments spent at home, watching our children grow and enjoying each other's company.
What to expect…
